BIO
Clara Siegmund has been part of CoGNiMUS collective since 2022, working as a member of the project management team. Clara lives in Cologne where she works as a musician and music teacher in several educational projects and institutions while finishing her master’s degree in music pedagogy at the Cologne University of Music and Dance as well as her studies in French language and literature at the University of Cologne.
As a singer she has specialised in Ensemble singing, having worked with ensembles such as Kölner Kammerchor (Peter Neumann), Kammerchor der Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln (Florian Helgath, Peter Dijkstra, Marcus Creed) and Vokalensemble Caleidon (Johannes Honecker).
Through her studies in French as well as regular stays in France for various musical and educational projects, she keeps widening her perspective on the way we make and convey music.
Within the work of CogNiMUS collective, Clara has her main focus on educational purposes.
The idea of making music accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds by breaking with concert routines is a main motivation of her work.
